Al Foah is headquartered in Al Ain, was established in 2005 by the Abu Dhabi government to take responsibility to manage date production and processing assets. This includes two Dates processing factories in Al Saad and Al Marfa and number of dates receiving centres across the UAE.

The initiative started in January 2022, with the dedication of 5 farms in the Bu-Karya and Rimah regions, which operate as model farms
The model farms are managed hands-on, using advanced technologies and techniques, as well as tested international best practices for date cultivation to improve productivity and yield quality
Implement, test, and adapt best practices from around the world to the local environment and varieties
Using multiple methods and formulas that are tested for all agrotechnical operations and finding the ideal solutions for each variety
Growing complementary crops alongside dates, as part of the optimization of farm performance, taking into account: soil, water, climate, time, resources, sustainability, and market demand
Pilot testing of global agriculture technologies to ensure the farms have the latest and most effective solutions
Based on the knowledge gained from the work performed and the results on our model farms we are excited to provide transformation programs to farmers, transform the farm and bring it to sustainable growth and profitability
